The Solar Alarm removes the need for digging ducts and laying long cable runs, making installation efficient and cost-effective. The solar separator alarm alerts the user of a fault by means of a flashing amber xenon beacon or via mobile phone text messaging.

The standard system is supplied complete with an intrinsically safe control unit together with a high oil probe and a steel mounting stand to automatically detect the levels of oil within.

The control unit is capable of monitoring up to 6 probe units in 2 separator tanks (3 probes per tank), to automatically monitor oil, silt and liquid levels notifying immediately when the separator needs emptying and therefore eliminating unnecessary waste management visits.

If excessive levels are reached, the alarm activates a klaxon or beacon to provide an audible or visual notification of excessive liquid levels. For more remote applications an alert can be transmitted by text message.

Alarm warnings allow you time to take corrective action ensuring the safe and economic operation of separators, preventing oil passing through the separator and polluting watercourses which may result in expensive fines and clean up costs.

The status of the probes is displayed via a liquid crystal display, which can be customised to display your messages.

There are 2 Solar Alarms available, the Beacon System alerts the user by means of a flashing amber xenon beacon, alternatively there is the GSM System which will alert the user via mobile phone text messaging.

Installation, Commission and Service

Within the contracted service visit, we will be undertaking the following:

Interceptor Alarm(s)

• Assessing the circuit board(s), and related components, to sustain maximum efficiency
• Confirming all groundworks and cabling around the unit is in sufficient order
• Confirming the unit (if solar powered) if holding a voltage
• Checking and recording battery strength (if solar powered)
• Confirming the cabinet has not been damaged or vandalised and is in good working order
• Cleaning and Re-calibration of all probes used within the unit
• Re-commissioning of equipment after inspection and providing certification to comply with the required health and safety / environmental guidelines.

All the above steps are vital for any company to meet the Environmental Agencies Guidelines (PPG3) for efficient pollution prevention control and to enable your equipment to function correctly.
